Building a School, Building a Future
In 2015, LWOSO built Shepherd High School to address a critical gap in educational access. The nearest government secondary school was 8.5 miles from the community of Katovu, making it nearly impossible for many students to continue their education.
The construction of Shepherd High School was a true community effort. Residents came together to create over 70,000 bricks from anthills for the building's construction, demonstrating the community's commitment to education.
From Humble Beginnings
The school opened in February 2015 with just 63 students. By January 2022, enrollment had grown to 524 students across O and A levels.
